Something
new!
This is a first for Lincoln
Mold Company. We introduce our life-size, very Victorian dress
form pattern. This figure is designed in a fashion that folks
found so charming around 1900.
Turn of the century fashion
decreed that large round hips and great splendor of figure
would prevail, but also demanded a distinctly diminutive waist.
The body was corseted, forming the waist in a most surprising
manner. It keeps the body in the right place and allows the
chest to expand. The corset flattened the figure below expanding
the chest carrying it well forward.
The new look, immortalized
by the American artist, Dana Gibson, presented an upright
poise of the shoulders, long sloping bust with straight front
line and graceful curve over the hips. The waist held in well
below the figure, the chest carried well forward and the shoulders
down.
This pattern can be made up to display antique clothing. It
is a wonderful way to display Great Grandmothers wedding
dress. Or it will stand on its own.
The cost of owning an
antique dress form is prohibitive. This is your opportunity
to own a real Victorian dress form for very little. It is
fairly simple to make. Finished it will add something special
to your décor.
Try our new life-size
dress form pattern today. Enjoy the turn-of-the-century look
without the disastrous result brought on by the corset which
caused much suffering to those who wore them. |
